CVTC holds race car themed STEM camp

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- Area high school students got together Thursday to learn about the fun side of science.

The Chippewa Valley Technical College held their STEM race, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Students worked with scale model remote-control cars to learn how to charge their cars using alternative energy.

"They're just smal RC cars and usually you think of them as real small and they don't go very fast, one mile an hour, but these ones go about 20," said student, Elliot Voelker.

Students also learned how to adjust their cars to make them perform even better.
