NEW INFORMATION: Wis. superintendent outraises opponent

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- New campaign finance reports show state schools Superintendent Tony Evers has raised nearly six times as much cash as challenger Don Pridemore over the last month and a half.

Evers and Pridemore will square off in the April 2 election. They both filed finance reports detailing their fundraising and spending from Feb. 5 through March 18 with the state Government Accountability Board on Monday.

Evers reporting collecting $129,264. Pridemore managed $21,822. The incumbent superintendent spent $186,695, more than three times the $53,903 Pridemore spent.

Pridemore, a Republican state representative from Hartford, had only $1,348 on hand as of March 18. Evers had $42,849.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- New campaign finance reports show state schools Superintendent Tony Evers has spent nearly $210,000 on his re-election bid this year.

Evers faces state Rep. Don Pridemore, a Hartford Republican, in an April 2 election. The candidates have until midnight Monday to file with the state Government Accountability Board listing contributions and spending from the beginning of the year through March 18.

Evers reported spending about $209,700 over the period. Most of the spending -- $186,700 -- took place during the days between Feb. 5 and March 18. He had $42,850 on hand.

Pridemore's campaign hadn't filed his reports as of late morning Monday. His latest report on file shows he spent about $19,000 between Jan. 1 and Feb. 4. He raised $2,400 and had $33,400 on hand.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A new round of campaign finance reports is due in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race.

Incumbent Justice Pat Roggensack and challenger Ed Fallone have until midnight Monday to turn in their reports to the state Government Accountability Board, the body that oversees Wisconsin elections.

Reports the candidates filed last month showed Roggensack had $219,153 in the bank as of Feb. 4. Fallone had $63,712.

The new reports will cover contributions and spending from Feb. 5 through March 18.

The election is scheduled for April 2.
