(WEAU) - A dairy company in Greenwood is teaming up with the Catholic Diocese of La Crosse to help orphans in Peru get a nutritious meal.
This past week, Grassland Dairy Products shipped a load of dried milk to an orphanage to Peru to be used as an ingredient in meals for the children. It's part of the diocese's "Project Milk," which helps under-privileged children get the nutrients they need from milk.
Grassland says it’s shipped 60,000 pounds of powdered milk overseas.
