EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Investigators say they caught a sexual assault suspect after responding to a report of someone yelling at cars and chasing children on the sidewalk.
On Thursday, Prosecutors filed criminal charges against Anthony Grabowska, 28, of Eau Claire. Court records show that a judge set bond at $10,000 cash.
Police say they responded to a home on Germaina Street on Tuesday night (August 20) and found Grabowska there. A group of boys told officers that Grabowska confronted and threatened them as they passed by him. A witness told officers that Grabowska grabbed a woman who he has a romantic relationship with by the neck and pushed her to the ground. Then police say a woman came out of the house who was visibly hurt. She told officers Grabowska had hit and sexually assaulted her inside the home.
Police arrested Grabowska. He's due in court on Tuesday (August 27).
