EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - A child advocacy center will be able to build a new bathroom thanks to the fundraising efforts from the Field of Honor.
The Noon Exchange Club presented a $5,000 check to the Chippewa Valley Child Advocacy Center Tuesday afternoon. The center serves as a more comfortable space for child victims of sexual and physical abuse to be interviewed by police.
The noon club president says they chose to give the money to the center because the club national project is child abuse prevention.
Last year the center provided the space for officers to conduct 368 interviews.
