Child dies after getting hit by car
(WEAU) - An 8-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a truck in Wisconsin Rapids.
Wisconsin Rapids police say Maxwell Wipfli, 8, was hit on Grand Avenue Friday afternoon. He was taken to a hospital where he later died of his injuries. Police say the truck was driven by Wellington Wert, 44, of Appleton.
There is no word on charges.
