(WEAU) - The Chippewa Valley Regional Airport is getting some big money for improvements.
Governor Walker approved the nearly $3.2 million project. The Wisconsin DOT says the project includes the removal of one taxiway and the realignment of another to improve safety and meet federal requirements. The state will provide just under $300,000 the airport will pay for about $350,000 and the FAA will pay for over $2.5 million of the project.
The project is expected to begin this fall and be completed by next fall.
