Chippewa Valley Regional Airport hosts public forum

(WEAU) - People in the community got a chance to voice their opinions on plans and tour a newly remodeled restaurant and bar at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport Wednesday.

A public forum was held Wednesday night. The airport is in the process of updating its ten-year planning document, called the master plan.

The plan gives an opportunity for community leaders and the public to learn more about the airport and is one of the primary tools the FAA uses to determine federal funding for the airport.

Aviation Planner Evan Barrett told us "it allows the airport to have basically a store of information that they can turn to both on the airport side but also for the public to see how the airport operates and what they do here."

The final version of the master plan will be published in about a month.
