((WEAU)) --From our birthdays to anniversaries or even just lucky numbers, there are certain numbers that seem to hold a little bit of magic in our lives.

Like most kids, Sarah Lindsay looks forward to her birthday every year

"I kind of want a new soccer bag," said Sarah.

But this birthday is one to remember, Sarah turned twelve on December 12 2012. 12-12-12 is the last three numerical sequence of the century.

"Everyone is making a big deal out of it," said Sarah.

Sarah's mom Jeanne says she knew when Sarah was born in 2000 that her birthday would be unique. She would turn one in 2001, two in 02 and so on. But it's her golden birthday that’s getting the most attention.

"It's unique it's not every day you turn 12 on 12-12 its special and Sarah is a special girl,” said Jeanne.

Well the Lindsay’s celebrate the gift they were given 12 years ago on 12/12. Another local family is starting a new tradition.

Kelsey Greene and Bruce Brown are getting married.

"It was definitely love at first sight for me," said Kelsey.

The couple met on New Year’s Eve at a party and say they've been inseparable ever since.
So Bruce says when he was ready to pop the question, he knew the wedding day had to be special too.

"I said 12-12-12 is the day we are choosing that no negotiations,” said Bruce.

The two exchanged vows in front of a few close family and friends at the Eau Claire County Court House and will have a big ceremony and reception on Saturday for those family members who couldn't make it.

“I’m happy and ready to spend the rest of my life with her,” said Bruce.
The governor also proclaimed 12/12/12 as Aaron Rodgers day. So many people sported their jerseys in honor.
