EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A city is taking applications from people interested in being part of a Citizens Advisory Committee.

The City of Eau Claire made the announcement on its website Thursday. The Plan Commission will recommend appointing 30-40 people to the group in August. It will help the Plan Commission update Eau Claire's 2005 Comprehensive Plan. Members will meet on the second Thursday of each of the following 10 months. The first meeting is September 11 at 7 p.m. The committee also includes several at-large members from the general public. The deadline to apply is July 28.

To apply, call the City Planning Office at (715) 839-4914 and request a Comprehensive Planning Resource Bank application.
