EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - The Eau Claire City Council has passed a resolution Tuesday bringing the sport of Pickleball to an area park.
Pickleball is a combination between tennis and badminton and has been growing over the past few years. The city council passed the resolution just over an hour ago to replace the two tennis courts at McDonough Park with six Pickleball courts.
The vote was passed unanimously.
Pickleball players they'll donate more than $10,000 to pay for over half of the cost for the transformation. The tennis courts have not been used for the past two seasons.
