City council president delivers State of the City address

(WEAU) - Eau Claire's city council president marked Monday's inauguration and how it aimed to highlight democracy, and talked about how local government ties people together.

It was the State of the City address Monday night and Council President Kerry Kincaid, says city government is about convening debate, safeguarding rights and building services. She recalled how the council debated issues like a sand transfer site, the Confluence Project and Barstow Street changes.

She says this year they'll continue planning the confluence project and will do a train noise study.
