City council proclaims March 29th Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day

(WEAU) - The Eau Claire City Council proclaimed March 29th as Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day.

The council made the proclamation Tuesday night at their meeting. The council says proclaiming a special day is to pay tribute to every veteran who served in the military during the Vietnam era and to rededicate to a day of healing, unity, education, and coming together on common ground.

There’s also a Vietnam Veteran's Day Community Educational Event on March 9 at the Lake Hallie Eagle's Club.
