City not planning to plow residential streets in Eau Claire

Roads are expected to be snow covered and slippery.

Street Maintenance Manager Steven Thompson says the city won't plow residential streets because the area only received a little more than an inch of snow, and because warmer temperatures are expected Tuesday.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (CITY OF EAU CLAIRE SNOW UPDATE) -- Snow is expected to taper off after 4 p.m. An accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is expected. Crews will be patrolling and salting primary arterial streets, as conditions warrant. Secondary routes will be plowed and sanded. A full residential snow plow operation is NOT anticipated at this time.

Roads are expected to be snow covered and slippery. Please give yourself extra time during your daily and evening commutes. Give plow operators the time and space they need to complete their assigned routes safely.
