City of Altoona flushing fire hydrants

ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU)-- The City of Altoona is flushing out its fire hydrants.

The program started Wednesday and will run into the first week of November.

People in the city may notice their water is discolored when the flushing takes place.

If that happens, the city says you can turn on the water until it runs clear.
The city says the program is done to maintain a good water supply.
