City of Eau Claire Snow Plow Plan

By  |

Eau Claire -- From Eau Claire Press Release:

Post Date:02/20/2014 04:32 PM

Snow has started falling in the Eau Claire area, with expected accumulation of 8 to 14 inches. Crews will be patrolling and sanding/salting the 85 miles of primary arterial streets as the conditions warrant. Secondary routes will be plowed and sanded once ice control routes are completed. A full residential snow plow operation is anticipated, but the start time will be determined once the snow has stopped and the main arterials are cleared.

Roads are snow covered and slippery. Blowing and drifting snow will become a major factor, creating hazardous travel conditions right into early Friday morning. If you have to travel, please take extra time this evening. Please give plow operators the time and space they need to complete their routes safely.
