Snow started falling around 11:00 a.m. (12/16/2013) in the Eau Claire area. Snow should taper off after 4:00 p.m. Total accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Crews will be patrolling and salting the 85 miles of primary arterial streets as the conditions warrant, and when major arterial streets become ice covered and slippery. Secondary routes will be plowed and sanded once primary routes are completed. After today's snow and the snow received this weekend, A full residential snow plow operation is anticipated to start Tuedsay morning (12/17/2013).
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The City of Eau Claire says it expects to start plowing residential streets on Tuesday morning.
The city made the announcement on its Facebook page Monday afternoon. It says it expects an inch or two of snow to accumulate after it tapers off, which the city believes will happen after 4 p.m. Monday. When primary roads become icy or slippery, crews will start patrolling and salting them, if the weather cooperates. It plans to plow and sand secondary roads once the primary roads are done.
