(WEAU) - Starting this week, city employees in Eau Claire can get health insurance for their partner, if they're in a domestic partnership.
In April, the Eau Claire City Council approved a resolution that would allow city employees in a domestic partnership to get health benefits for a partner.
There are several stipulations to the resolution. In order to receive health insurance, a partner must be living in the same household as the city employee, be over the age of 18 and be registered with the county as a domestic partnership.
