NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A teenager from rural Loyal has died in a traffic crash.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as Marvin High, 16. Investigators say a vehicle was going south on Meridian Avenue around 5:15 a.m. Sunday, and it didn't yield at a stop sign. When it went into the intersection, which is southeast of Loyal, it collided with the passenger side of a truck going west on Twenty Six Road. The truck went into the ditch on the south side of the road, started to spin, and flipped onto its side. It hit a power pole, and ended up on its wheels. High was driving the truck, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other vehicle spun, went in a southwest ditch, and hit another power pole. The woman driving it went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She is expected to be ticketed for failing to yield the right of way. Investigators say both people were wearing seat belts, and they don't believe speed was a factor in the crash.
