NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (WEAU) -- All the all-terrain vehicle trails in a county in Western Wisconsin are now closed.
The Clark County Department of Forestry and Parks closes its ATV trails from November 1 through December 15 every year. That means people can only drive ATVs on designated trails from the close of hunting hours to 11:00 p.m. The provision is for any hunting-related driving. ATVs have to stay on those designated trails.
The department also says the Clark County Knobby Ridge Off-Road Motorcycle Trail System is closed. It's tentatively scheduled to re-open in the summer of 2014. Levis Mound mountain biking and hiking trails are open. The mountain biking trails will stay open until the first snowfall of the season. Levis trails stay open during the hunting season. Hunting is allowed throughout the Levis Mound trail system. Wild Rock Horseback riding trails are also open right now.
