Clean up day at Happy Tails Dog Park

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- Happy tails will soon take over the dog park in Chippewa Falls.

Dog lovers helped clean up the Happy Tails Dog Park Sunday to get it ready for the big warm-up.

People put on their gloves and picked up trash, waste, did some repair work and tidied up the park.

Park goers say they're just doing their part in giving dogs and their owners a place to enjoy.

“It’s wonderful, it's just wonderful. I have a Labrador retriever named Amber. She comes and enjoys the park and I watch. You meet new people,” said Treasurer Sue Thomas. “I know dog’s names more than people's names.”

Organizers say Happy Tails Dog Park is Wisconsin's largest off-leash canine leisure area.

It's located at Chippewa Crossing Boulevard in Chippewa Falls.
