Clear Vision Empowerment Summit talks improvement for Chippewa Valley

By  |

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- People from the Chippewa Valley got together Thursday night to talk about some of the issues in the area.

It was the first Clear Vision Empowerment Summit held at Hope Lutheran Church.

The group fielded ideas for areas that need improvement in the Chippewa Valley.

Clear Vision's board president says it was the right time to get the community together to generate some new ideas.

"We were developed in 2007 and we had a stakeholder meeting at that point. We came up with a lot of ideas and 125 different action items and we've made some really good progress but that was a while ago. So it's time to do it again. It's time to bring the citizens together and say, ‘what ideas do you have for our community to make it better?’” says Vicki Hoehn.

There are three more summits scheduled during which plans and groups will be formed to tackle some the issues that were brought up at Thursday’s meeting.
