GREEN BAY, Wis. (WEAU) -- GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- A Green Bay technical college is investigating an instructor who allegedly used the school's email system to invite colleagues to a fundraiser for Democratic candidate for governor Mary Burke.
A WLUK-TV report on Friday doesn't identify the staffer, but it says he teaches at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
He's accused of sending out two emails inviting people to a lunchtime event with Burke, and adding a note telling them to "plan accordingly" for fundraising requests.
College spokeswoman Karen Smits says the email violates school policy and possibly the college's code of conduct. She says staffers were warned in November 2011 not to use college property in connection with any type of political campaigning.
She says the instructor's case will be handled in accordance with school policy on personnel issues.
