CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis (WEAU)--The UW-Eau Claire community came together today in Chippewa Falls to support a local chiropractor who through the help of one his patients will receive a kidney donation.
Several hundred people braved the inclement weather this afternoon to attend the benefit at the eagle's club in Chippewa Falls for Dr. Dave Nanstad and his kidney donor, Judy Jaskowski.
Nanstad has been a fixture around Blugold Athletics for many years and today was a chance for them to give back.
Dave and Judy say they were overwhelmed by today's generous response...

"I just want to thank all my Blugold friends that are here and all the paybacks from former Blugold players who donated some awesome gifts for this, it's almost embarrassing how generous people are, I think I’ve given a lot to this community but boy today is more than given back to me in a million ways," said Nanstad

"It just goes to show you what a great community we live in when people are in need, people are there for them, and it's appreciated," said Jaskowski
