EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A man arrested for 6th offense OWI is accused of driving drunk when he crashed a car into a house last weekend.

Prosecutors filed charges against Christopher Williams, 46, of Milwaukee on Tuesday. A criminal complaint says Williams was driving a car that slammed into the front of a house on Shady Grove Road in Eau Claire Sunday. Williams told officers that his friend was driving, and then told him to pull the car into the driveway. He denied crashing the car. Investigators started doing sobriety tests on Williams, but stopped for his safety. A preliminary breath test on Williams showed a blood alcohol content of .24 percent. He later reported that he drank eight beers.

The complaint says Williams also has three other Operating While Intoxicated convictions in Eau Claire County, and two more in Milwaukee County. Williams' license had been revoked for three years after his most recent conviction in 2012.
