EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) A candidate for the third congressional district was in Eau Claire Wednesday.

Tony Kurtz attended the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

Kurtz calls life on the campaign trail rewarding and humbling.

He says it's great to see people get off the sidelines and get involved.

Kurtz also says he's traveled all over the district listening to people's concerns, but says he also has his base beliefs.

"I spent 20 years in the military, I'm very passionate about veterans issues, I'm very passionate about our national defense and to be honest I think we can do better in those arenas, especially what's going on in the world stage right now," explains Kurtz.

Other issues Kurtz says he is passionate about are healthcare, jobs, and the national debt.
