Convicted murderer gets two years added to sentence

ONEIDA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU)-- Two more years were added to a convicted murderer's sentence after he walked away from prison last year.

The added sentence was handed down Tuesday in Oneida County court for 55-year-old Todd Brecht.

In 1986, Brecht was convicted of the murder of his brother-in-law, and Buffalo County District Attorney, Roger Hartman. Last October, officers say he walked away from a work site in Vilas County, but was found days later by officers in Florida.
