County board member steps down after sex scandal

LA CROSSE, Wis (WEAU)- County board member Bill Brockmiller was one of five men that were arrested August 27th on prostitution charges.

Brockmiller has decided to step down from his supervisory position, leaving district 11 currently vacant.

Brockmiller had answered to an online ad and showed up to the Brookstone Inn on Rose Street. After agreeing to exchange money for sex Brockmiller was arrested according to police.

All persons interested in applying for the District 11 vacancy should submit a letter of interest to:

The deadline for all interested applicants is October 19th, 2012 at 5p.m.
