County opens Coon Fork beaches, Big Falls wading area

ALTOONA, Wis. (EAU CLAIRE COUNTY PARKS & FOREST DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE) -- The Eau Claire County Parks & Forest Department announces that water testing results by the City County Health Department indicate that Big Falls County Park and Coon Fork County Park dayside and campground beach water is now within acceptable health standards and is therefore now open for wading. Lake Altoona Park remains CLOSED. The water will be retested today. All other public beaches on Eau Claire County land are within acceptable standards and therefore open.
