County urges people, drivers to use caution around La Crosse area storm damage

The department is also urging drivers to be careful, especially near low-hanging wires, trees, and emergency response vehicles.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- La Crosse County is urging people to stay away from storm-damaged power lines.

On Wednesday morning, La Crosse County Emergency Services said that it's responding to several reports of power lines and trees down on La Crosse's north side. Similar reports are coming in from the Towns of Barre, Hamilton, and Campbell. It urges people to call Xcel Energy and 911 if they see downed power lines.
