(WEAU) - The Trempealeau County Board voted unanimously Monday night to reject a couple's request to re-zone land near Strum so a sand mine could be built.
County leaders tell us the vote was 17-0, upholding the committee's earlier ruling. There were no public comments made Monday night, just the property owners and the county's land manager.
Last week, several people spoke out against it.
County leaders say the request could come up again in 6 months.
