Couple charged in marijuana bust

(WEAU) - A Chippewa Falls couple is charged after investigators say they received a large amount of marijuana from California.

Prosecutors say both William and Jennifer Johnson face multiple charges including felony possession with intent to deliver, and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Prosecutors say both were arrested after a package containing six pounds of marijuana was intercepted by officers. It was then delivered by undercover officers to a bar in the Town of Lafeyette where both worked.

The criminal complaint says William Johnson tried to receive the package at the bar and was later arrested.
