EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A driver was ticketed after a crash Wednesday in Eau Claire.

It happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday on the North Crossing at Old Wells Road. Eau Claire police say one car was in a left turn lane on the North Crossing, trying to turn south onto Old Wells. The light was green in both directions of the North Crossing. That driver started to turn left, saw another car coming east, and couldn't avoid colliding with it.

Officers say there were no apparent injuries. Both cars ended up with severe damage. The driver of the car turning left was ticketed for not yielding. After the crash, traffic was backed up on the North Crossing, where Eau Claire police had one eastbound lane and a turn lane blocked off.
