Crews fix water service leak that closed down road

(WEAU) – Crews had to repair a water service leak in Eau Claire Thursday.

It happened in the 3400 block of London Road. The City of Eau Claire says its utilities division had to shut the main for some customers while they made repairs. It says they had it fixed by 10 a.m. and the road reopened by 11 a.m. It says workers laid down a temporary gravel patch on the road and crews will put a permanent patch on this summer.

Traffic on London Road had to be detoured around the scene.
