EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Crews are installing a new traffic signal in Eau Claire.
On Friday, workers could be seen preparing the lights for installation on the south side of the North Crossing and Clairemont Avenue interchange. The new signal will include a flashing yellow left turn signal. That's for southbound traffic turning left onto the North Crossing.
Soon, the signals will start flashing to alert drivers of the change. The lights will be up and running late next week.
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NEWS RELEASE) --A new traffic signal will be activated at the WIS 312 (North Crossing) and US 12 (Clairemont Avenue) South Ramp in Eau Claire. The signal will begin normal operations late next week. A few days before, the signal will be in “flash” at the intersection. The flash mode is used to increase motorist awareness of the new signal. Motorists will encounter flashing yellow signal indications on the US 12 approaches and flashing red signal indications on the WIS 312 exit ramp approach.
This new signal will include the use of flashing yellow arrows for southbound left turning vehicles on US 12 to WIS 312 eastbound.
