Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the fire at Coachman Supper Club on Energy Street in Baldwin. Crews responded late Tuesday night, just before midnight, to a fire at the building. The owner went to the hospital with “smoke inhalation-related injuries.” That person’s condition is unknown. Nobody else was hurt. A total of eleven fire departments ended up at the fire scene.

BALDWIN, Wis. (WEAU)—Crews were still on the scene Wednesday of a fire that started late Tuesday night at the Coachman Supper Club in Baldwin.

Baldwin Fire Chief, Gary Newton, says the department was called to the scene just before midnight. He says the restaurant has major smoke and fire damage.

The owner of the Supper Club was inside when the fire started but was able to get out before crews got there. The Chief says the owner was taken by ambulance to the hospital for smoke inhalation. He did not know the extent of his injuries.

The Chief says it took firefighters about an hour to put out the flames but crews were still on the scene Wednesday afternoon. He says the cause is under investigation.
