TOWN OF DUNN, Wis. (WEAU) - Several fire crews are at the scene of a brush fire southeast of Menomonie.
It happened late Wednesday afternoon near 610th Street.
High winds drove the brush fire out of control.
The Menomonie Fire Dept. says a bearing in a combine that seized up started the fire and at one point, two buildings were in danger but a shift in wind direction helped contain it.
Crews say no one was hurt but 40 acres of beans and standing corn burned.
