FALL CREEK, Wis. (WEAU) -- Fall Creek Police arrested 28-year-old Jason T. Belknap of Altoona following a domestic disturbance that lead to a lockdown at Fall Creek School District.
According to the Eau Claire Co. Jail, he's held on charges of battery, disorderly conduct and false imprisonment among others.
Around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, officers heard reports of possible shots fired.
A perimeter was set and traffic was detoured. The Fall Creek School District was placed on lock down for about an hour.
Belknap was taken into custody and the scene was deteremined safe.
FALL CREEK, Wis. (FALL CREEK POLICE DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE) - On May 2, 2013, at approximately 1235PM, the Fall Creek Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in the Village of Fall Creek. Upon arrival of the first officer there was a report of possible shots fired. A perimeter was set up and traffic was detoured. The Fall Creek School District was scheduled to release students at 100PM so as a precaution the school was placed in lock down. A male subject was taken into custody and the scene was rendered safe. The school was notified and the lockdown was lifted.
The Fall Creek Police Department was assisted by members of the Eau Claire Sheriff's Department, Eau Claire Combined Tactical Team, Fall Creek Rescue, and Eau Claire Rescue.
FALL CREEK, Wis. (WEAU)--The Fall Creek School District was on lock down briefly Thursday afternoon because police say there was a domestic situation in the area.
We do not know yet the details of the situation but police say there was one person with minor injuries.
The school released the students around 1:45 pm. The district wrote this on its Facebook and Twitter pages
