EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- A local car dealership is giving back to the community with a donation to the Feed My People Food Bank.

On Wednesday afternoon, Chilson Subaru presented a check for more than $10,000 to the food bank in Eau Claire. The dealership raised money for the food bank as part of the Subaru "Share the Love" event which ran from November until January of this year.

"We are very excited and pleased at the generosity of our owners that they chose to give so much money and selected this local charity to receive over 10,000 dollars from Subaru," said Jeanne Chilson of Chilson Subaru.

Nationwide, Subaru dealerships raised $10 million for nearly 250 charities.
