MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Democratic officials are traveling across the state to talk about the ongoing investigation into former close aides and associates of Gov. Scott Walker when he served as Milwaukee County executive.

State Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate and Milwaukee County Supervisor John Weishan Jr. planned stops Wednesday in Green Bay, Appleton and Stevens Point. On Thursday they were to be in Eau Claire and La Crosse.

Two men, including Walker's former deputy chief of staff, have charged with embezzling more than $60,000 from veterans and their families. Another former deputy chief of staff faces four felony counts of misconduct in office for doing political work while working in Walker's county office.

Walker has said he is cooperating with investigators and he plans on meeting with them soon.
