NEW INFORMATION: Hit-and-run crash victims identified in Polk County

BALSAM LAKE, Wis. (AP) -- Polk County sheriff's officials have identified two men who were struck and killed by a driver who fled the scene.

Authorities say 41-year-old Richard Cobenais Jr., of Rural Luck and 28-year-old Benjamin Juarez, of Frederic, were involved in a fight that had spilled out onto Highway E in the Round Lake Native American Community Saturday evening.

Sheriff's investigators are looking for a dark colored pickup, possibly a Ford F150 with an auxiliary amber light on top. The vehicle may have some damage to the passenger side headlight area.

The Polk County Sheriff’s department is investigating a fatal hit and run.

It happened around 6:30pm Saturday (1/11) in the Round Lake Native American Community on County Highway E in North Eastern Polk County. Deputies say two males got into a fight at a nearby residence and the fight spilled on to the roadway. The two males were hit and killed by a truck in the road. They two victims names are not being released.

Deputies are asking for your help in identifying the vehicle that was involved. Deputies are searching for a dark colored pickup truck, possibly a Ford. The pickup truck may have two auxiliary amber warning lights mounted to the top of the cab. Witnesses noticed a blue plastic barrel in the box of the pickup truck. It would have damage to the front.
