Deputies say 29 year old Seth Pripps of Rockford, Ill. was flying his single engine Cessna when he started having engine trouble.

Eau Claire, Wis. (WEAU) - Deputies in Juneau County say they're investigating the cause of a plane crash that happened Monday near Union Center.

Deputies say 29 year old Seth Pripps of Rockford, Ill. was flying his single engine Cessna when he started having engine trouble.

Pripps says he was flying from Park Falls to St. Louis when he made a stop to check the plane.

Shortly after takeoff he says he started having engine trouble. That’s when the aircraft crashed into a swamp.

The pilot was able to make it out of the plane with the help of firefighters.
