BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- Investigators in Barron County said they need the public’s help finding a suspect who led deputies on a high speed chase.

They’re looking for Jared Brendel. Barron Co. deputies say on Friday just before 9 p.m. they tried to pull him over on highway U south of Dallas. He took off in high speed, leading a chase that lasted about 15 minutes.

Deputies say he drove in fields and yards, causing rocks to hit a county squad car, damaging the wind shield. One squad even blew a tire, hitting a tree.

Deputies say Brendel took off on foot and deputies say they need your help finding him.

If you have any information, call the Barron County Sheriff's Department at 715-537-3106.
