Deputies searching for armed robbery suspect

SIREN, Wis. (RELEASE FROM BURNETT COUNTY)-- On Friday, June 27, 2014 at approximately 01:15 a.m., Burnett County deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery that had occurred at the Holiday Stationstore (south) on State Highway 35/70 in the Village of Siren. Store employees reported that a lone male suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money; the suspect then fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. A search of the area by deputies including a K9 unit from the Polk County Sheriff’s office did not locate the suspect. No one was injured during this incident.

The suspect in this incident is described as a white male, 30-35 years old, about 5’09-6’00”/ 200 pounds, dark brown eyes, and a light brown goatee.

Investigation into this robbery continues by the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office and the Siren Police Department. Anyone having information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 715-349-2121, or Siren Police at 715-349-7181.

No further information is being released at this time.
