BARRON, Wis. (BARRON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT) - On November 28, 2012 at 11:58pm the Barron County Sheriff’s Dept stopped a vehicle for speeding and expired registration near Culvers in the City of Rice Lake. After speaking with the driver and as the deputy was walking back to the squad car the subject fled in his vehicle. The suspect drove through a fence at Lamperts in the City of Rice Lake and failed to stop for the deputy. A short chase ensued with speeds reaching 100mph on Hwy 53. The vehicle then exited onto Hwy 48 back into the city where a Rice Lake Police Dept officer pursued the vehicle but discontinued the chase due to the dangerous speeds.

A short time later, the Lakeview Medical Center Ambulance, which was out on a separate run, advised the dispatch center the suspect vehicle may have entered Lake Shore Terrace Trailer Court. RLPD and Barron County Sheriff Deputies responded to the area and located the vehicle but not the driver.

The driver was identified as Arlen Degido, 24 from Amery. Anyone with information on the location of Mr. Degido should contact the Barron County Sheriff’s Dept at 715-537-3106 or 911.

A complaint has been submitted to the Barron County District Attorney’s Office for an arrest warrant for Mr. Degido on charges of Fleeing an Officer, Damage to Property, Operating after Revocation and additional charges will also be filed by the Rice Lake Police Dept for violations in the City of Rice Lake.
