NEW INFORMATION: Missing 9-year-old found safe near his St. Croix Co. home

HUDSON, Wis. (WEAU) -- The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office says Grant Lindahl was found about 1/4 mile from his home at around 4 p.m. Monday. Deputies say he had bug bites and scratches, but was otherwise all right. They believe he had just wandered away from his home, but are still trying to figure out exactly what happened.

HUDSON, Wis. (WEAU) -- Deputies are looking for a missing 9-year-old boy.

On Monday afternoon, the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office announced that it's actively searching for Grant Lindahl of the Town of Star Prairie. He was last seen at his home around 9 a.m. New Richmond Fire/Rescue and the Department of Natural Resources are searching the area with the sheriff's office. The department says it is not looking for help in the search.
