(WEAU) - A bullet hit a house with people inside this weekend, and deputies have tracked down a hunting group they say is responsible for the stray shot.
Dunn County Sheriff Dennis Smith says the round from a rifle went through the walls of a home on 810th Avenue near Menomonie. He says a group of seven coyote and fox hunters were out on Saturday when a bullet went through the home.
No one was hurt, but the people inside were able to see the hunting party and called deputies who took statements from the hunters. Smith says no one was ticketed or arrested.
