(WEAU) - The state's deputy commissioner of insurance made a stop in Eau Claire Friday.
Dan Schwartz was at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club talking with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors to give an update and talk about what they're doing to prepare for health care reform.
He says one of the most common questions his office gets about the upcoming reform is about the health insurance exchange system. Schwartz says "I think there's some confusion as to what the exchange is. The exchange is really just a website. It's there to provide consumers with different plan choices, different insurer choices, but beyond that it is really just a website."
Earlier this year, Governor Walker chose not to accept federal money to expand the state's Medicaid program.
