(WEAU)-Deputies are looking for whoever stole items from a La Crosse County sheriff's deputy.

The department says the burglary happened in the Township of Onalaska sometime between 8 a.m. on Thursday, December 6 and 3 p.m. on Friday, December 7.

Items stolen include:

-Beretta .40 cal pistol with 3 loaded magazines. Model 96G
-Springfield .40 cal pistol with 3 loaded magazines. Model XD
-Taser Model X26, yellow in color
-La Crosse County Sheriff's Dept. badge, silver in color on a leather belt clip.
-Motorola police radio
-Laptop computer
-Other miscellaneous police equipment

Witnesses say they observed a black full sized pick-up truck in the area on December 6. The police duty belt that was also taken was recovered on December 7 in the area of State Highway 35 and I-90, just north of George Street in La Crosse.

It is believed that the deputy's house was targeted and not a random burglary.

Citizens are asked to contact Crimestoppers at 784-TIPS or the La Crosse County Sheriff's Department at 608-785-5942 if they have any information about the burglary, stolen firearms, or anyone in possession of a yellow Taser. Information will remain anonymous.
