Downtown workers get out for Wellness Walk

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) The downtown Eau Claire business community got outside to enjoy the fresh air Wednesday as a part of the annual Wellness Walk.

They took off around noon and went on a one mile tour of the downtown sights, like the Sculpture Walk, Phoenix Park, and a trail along the Eau Claire River.

Steve Lindsay with Sacred Heart says the goal is to get people out and active, and to promote wellness.

"What the focus is on, is on community employers who are focused on wellness, bring attention to wellness in the community, and are just a part of the chamber," he explains.

Lindsay says it is always a good time to get together with members of the community and enjoy the outdoors.
